Window Handle Sensor

• Activate alarms: As soon as burglars try to open the window from the outside, the window handle sensor sends a signal directly to your alarm system.

• Suitable addition for your shading: Expand the functions in your Smart Home by connecting your roller shutter and blind control with the window handle sensor.

The Homematic IP window handle sensor enables your smart home to detect open, tilted or closed windows. Connected to your roller shutter or blind control, you thus have the option of automatically raising or lowering the shading as soon as you tilt or open a window. In addition, unintentional locking out – for example, on the balcony – is prevented. Thanks to the sensors, your smart home recognizes whether you have opened the balcony door or not. Accordingly, the shading is not lowered as long as you are outside.

Thanks to its slim design, the innovative sensor can be easily mounted under the existing window handle. Modifications to the window or frame are not necessary thanks to radio communication and battery operation.

In addition to the alarm function, the window handle sensor can also be used in combination with the Homematic IP heating control. For example, when a window is tilted or open, the heat supply to the radiator can be automatically reduced and energy used efficiently.
